L.I.T. is a purposeful leadership development program for campers ages 14-15. The L.I.T. program helps campers grow as leaders and in self-confidence, problem-solving, critical thinking, role modeling, and taking initiative. Campers have the opportunity to learn facilitation skills, participate in service projects, and shadow camp counselors, while keeping in focus the 4-Core Values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. The expectation is that L.I.T. campers would lead the charge in attitude and action. They are the model that other campers look up to and will follow in their footsteps. Leadership Lessons Our LIT program offers a dynamic series of leadership lessons designed to cultivate essential skills for emerging leaders. Topics include, but are not limited to, understanding leadership, problem solving as a team, inspirational leadership, active listening, and leadership in action. Participants will also engage in team-building exercises, including low ropes activities, to strengthen collaboration and trust within groups. Along with leadership lessons campers will also participate in traditional camp activities. * L.I.T. Campers are limited to attending 2 of our 2 week sessionsAdditional Information
