The Ensworth Summer Musical is a three-week, full-day (9am-3pm) complete and immersive learning experience for students looking to dance, sing, act, and have fun. Students develop their dancing, acting, and singing skills as they train and rehearse daily toward a fully staged, designed, and costumed musical performance. All students engage in auditions and are coached in acting, vocal performance, and choreography by experienced faculty. Directed by Belmont University's Shawn Knight and hosted in Ensworth's Ingram Arts Center. 9 to 5 JR., with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton, is a 60-minute adaptation of the Broadway musical about three coworkers who take control of their office. For grades 6-8; students attend all rehearsals and performances.
