This course is intended for students with prior coding experience. Students who have not done coding before should take the Minecraft Modding in Java: Intro (New Coders) course. Calling all Minecrafters! Building Minecraft mods (modifications) is a great way to learn coding, harness creativity, and enhance problem-solving skills while making your favorite game even better. This course introduces students to the Java programming language, a powerful and popular language in the Software industry. Students learn the core coding concepts, including Loops, Conditionals, and Variables. They learn to navigate the coding platform, build a mod, then connect to a server and run the mod. To practice, students build simple projects, such as summoning different Minecraft items including flowers, swords, etc.Available Sessions
