A one-week, non-resident, orchestral intensive experience for precollegiate students. Led by faculty of the Blair School of Music at Vanderbilt University, this five-day program provides comprehensive full orchestral training for woodwind, brass, percussion, and string musicians. Students work closely with world-class instructors in technique, sectionals, and masterclasses. Eligible instruments: flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, horn, trumpet, trombone, tuba, percussion, violin, viola, cello, and bass. A chamber music add-on is also available (see VYO Chamber & Orchestral Summer Intensive at $805 total). Open by audition.Session Details
