The annual Summer Listening Camp is a week-long day camp for children with hearing differences who use hearing technology such as hearing aids or cochlear implants. Typical camp activities such as arts and crafts, music and relay races are used to facilitate speech, language, listening and social skills development. Activities include rock wall climbing, fishing, music and dance, arts and crafts and water play. Staffed with UT Dallas graduate students in speech pathology and audiology supervised by licensed speech pathologists and audiologists. Includes snacks, a camper t-shirt, daily therapy, and Friday Family Celebration. Bus transportation available Monday–Friday from Callier Dallas to camp site. New campers must complete an intake assessment ($50, not insurance eligible).
