The Wylie Police Department offers 2 sessions of a weeklong junior police academy held over the Wylie ISD summer break. The academy is organized, taught, and run by Wylie Police School Resource Officers. Cadets participate in various team-building exercises and obstacles that test their skills and push them to their limits while building their confidence. The program is geared toward students interested in law enforcement or with a general curiosity about the profession, but everyone is welcome to apply. Eligibility: students enrolled as 7th or 8th graders during the Spring semester prior to the academy dates.Available Sessions
