BLOCK (Building Leaders Out of Camp Korey) is a teen leadership program for campers ages 16 and 17 aimed at expanding the skills that camp teaches by developing communication, stewardship, and collaboration. BLOCK leaders contribute to camp operations through service projects including kitchen support (breakfast, lunch, and dinner setup/cleanup), facilities assistance, program support, leading songs and dances, and special projects. Leaders also participate in activities centered around teamwork, communication, and collaboration. A typical BLOCK day runs from 7:45 AM wake-up through 10:30 PM lights out, including 2+ hours daily of service projects and 2+ hours of leadership activities. Up to four BLOCK members participate per summer session. Interested campers indicate BLOCK on their camp application and complete an interview. Placement considers availability, gender, personal care needs, and readiness. All programs are entirely free of charge.Available Sessions
