Learn how to persuade your parents and peers by making a strong claim and supporting it! Practice thinking on your feet, speaking boldly and arguing with conviction. Every session will include an opportunity to battle it out over important topics like country vs. rap. Is cereal a soup? Are socks with sandals a good fit? Leave with a foundation of skills to help argue against extra homework, for an extra serving of dessert, and more. Instructor: Eastside Catholic Religious Studies Teacher and Debate Coach Elizabeth Verdeck.
