Based on Cornish College's undergraduate music curriculum, this course strengthens musicianship for student musicians. Participants develop fluency in music theory through practical application, ensemble performance, and guided listening. The program covers notation, intervals, scales, modes, key signatures, rhythm, meter, and aural skills—connecting theoretical concepts directly to composition, improvisation, and songwriting. Students come from classical, jazz, or contemporary backgrounds and prepare for college-level study and professional collaboration. Students provide instruments; drum kits, pianos, and amps are provided.
