Summer Camp Organizations

Weekly summer camps at the Ringling College Museum Campus where students explore new materials and techniques with the museum as their classroom. Professional teaching artists guide children in ceramics, multimedia, and drawing and painting studios.

County-run summer day camps, adventure camps, and specialty camps for children entering grades 1-12. Day camps at Colonial Oaks Park, Laurel Park, Longwood Park, and Woodmere Park include weekly themes, field trips, sports, creative arts, science, nature, and swimming. Adventure camps for grades 6-12 include off-site excursions.

Weekly themed zoo camps for ages 6-13 in June with hands-on interaction with exotic animals, nature exploration, and educational programs among flamingos, parrots, reptiles, and primates at the tropical gardens.

Unique opera summer camp for ages 8-18 under the direction of Sarasota Opera's professional staff. Campers study performing on stage, working behind the scenes, music, acting, opera appreciation, and production.

Summer horse camp for ages 6+ with little to no experience covering general riding instruction, grooming and care, breeds and anatomy, saddling and equipment, feeding and handling, horseback games, and crafts.

Week-long day and overnight tech camps for ages 7-17 offering coding, game development, robotics, AI, 3D printing, and more. Two-week academy programs for teens available on the Lewis & Clark campus.

Week-long summer camps in June and July for kids ages 6-12 exploring gardens, nature, and STEM through themes like CircleUp! STEM Camp, Show Soils Some Love, and Garden Discovery Camp. Daily schedule 8:30am-3pm.
