The personal essay, required for admission to top colleges and universities, presents a unique writing challenge for most college-bound seniors. While English classes seldom have time to teach this difficult genre, the essay remains one of the most important writing occasions of a young person’s academic career. Learn the best approaches to crafting persuasive, compelling college admissions essays, AND write/revise those essays in this seminar class led by two veteran English teachers from FWCD. The seminar will include visits from College Admission Representatives and FWCD College Counseling faculty. Students will finish the week with complete drafts of at least two college essays before the busy fall semester starts.Session Details
